Preaching

So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. (Nehemiah 8:8)

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. (2 Timothy 4:2)

The preaching and teaching of God's word holds an important place in our services. We believe that sound teaching of the Bible honors God and helps us to grow in grace, wisdom, and the knowledge of God.

We also include a short question and answer time with the children to help them in their spiritual growth and knowledge of the Bible.

Praying
Prayer

Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; (Colossians 4:2)

The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer. (Psalm 6:9)

We desire our church to be a house of prayer.  We offer prayers throughout the service to call upon God for his blessings.  We also have time where prayer requests are shared with the congregation.

In everything we do, we know we are dependent on God and we desire the presence of his Holy Spirit in our worship.

Music Sheets
Singing

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (Colossians 3:16)

Vibrant congregational hymn-singing is a common characteristic of Primitive Baptist worship services.  Singing is a cappella and is primarily traditional hymns.  The focus of the singing is to praise and honor God and edify the church through heartfelt songs and meaningful lyrics.
